Creating a Real Time Large Scale Analytics Platform with Couchbase

Creating a Real Time Large Scale Analytics Platform with Couchbase

The LivePerson platform enables over 8,500 global businesses to intelligently engage with more than 450 million users a month. In order to get to this scale, LivePerson needed a fast, high throughput infrastructure that would enable them to build a real time analytics and provide insights for their customers.

PayPal + Couchbase

PayPal + Couchbase

The talk will illustrate PayPal’s usage of Couchbase on different applications. In the PayPal Media Network Advertising Pipeline, Couchbase is used to build a scalable cross channel audience profiling, segmentation, identity mapping & frequency capping. It's also used in conjunction with Elasticsearch for the Informational Retrieval systems. Couchbase is also used by PayPal as a backend of the Real Time Analytics for highly interactive business metrics reporting.

McGraw-Hill Education: Processing Data in Real Time Using Incremental MapReduce

McGraw-Hill Education: Processing Data in Real Time Using Incremental MapReduce

Modern digital learning environments collect a multitude of performance, behavioral, and demographics signals from students. The relationships between these data signals can be modeled and wired up using a paradigm called Functional Reactive Programming (FRP). McGraw-Hill Education’s R&D lab is leveraging Couchbase Server’s support for running JavaScript-based MapReduce functions incrementally to implement a scalable continuous analytics system that updates higher-level aggregates as lower-level signals are added or changed. Christopher Tse, Head of R&D at MHE, and Dr. Gareth Powell, a functional programming expert and Chief Scientist of Ziniki Networks, will present a data processing architecture that provides Hadoop-like analytic power in near real-time.
