Same engine. With Enterprise Edition, you run the clusters on your own infrastructure. With Capella, Couchbase runs them for you on AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
Yes. Capella runs the same Couchbase Server engine, so your SQL queries, JSON data and SDK code carry over. Admin work moves to the Capella UI, API, and Terraform.
