One of Couchbase’s core values is to attack hard problems driven by customer outcomes. The success of our customers is of the utmost importance and we take pride in helping them build high-performing, reliable, and flexible modern applications. We’re thrilled to share some of the customer momentum we saw in our third quarter fiscal 2024.

Highlights from the quarter included continued Capella growth, new business and expansions, and strong new customer logos. Here are some of the Capella customer stories we shared from the quarter:

A new Capella customer was an AI-powered customer intelligence platform provider. A top priority for this customer was eliminating maintenance costs and saving time with a managed service as its customer engagement application grows. Initially beginning on our Community Edition, this customer migrated to Capella because it delivered on all of the application requirements with the most compelling price-performance.

An American multinational cybersecurity company selected Capella to power a new application that certifies all of the connectors to their platform, ensuring security checks and health before releasing those connectors to their customers. For this customer, Capella delivered the best price performance.

SWARM Engineering provides a software-as-a-service platform using next generation AI to save costs, reduce waste, and deliver environmental benefits for organizations in the agri-food industry. SWARM selected our database-as-a-service to power its AI and ML based supply chain optimization platform, as Capella will allow SWARM to dedicate more time and resources to developing new and existing products.

Another Capella expansion from the quarter came from a leading global design and hospitality brand. This customer leverages Couchbase to manage, organize and analyze data for order management, fulfillment and pricing for the thousands of products in its catalog. This customer originally selected Capella to reduce the maintenance and operational costs associated with a self-managed database and made the strategic decision to expand its investment in Capella for additional operational benefits.

Yostar Games is the top publisher, developer, and investor of games in China. This customer initially selected Capella to deploy, manage and streamline its game database services and has continued to invest in our database-as-a-service because of Capella’s impressive price performance, stability and superior database performance to support rapid customer growth as its game continues to scale.

Dozens of customer case studies are available

In addition to Capella customer momentum, Couchbase Enterprise continues to power mission-critical applications for our customers. Here are some Enterprise customer stories from the quarter:

The Canadian subsidiary of an American multinational financial services corporation selected Couchbase to power a real-time trading analytics application to analyze market trends, enabling traders to make more informed decisions. This customer selected Couchbase for its superior database performance and high availability.

A communications services provider that offers a low-cost, high quality mobile service for its customers needed a high availability database platform to support the mobile billing system for its more than 5 million mobile carrier service subscribers. This customer selected Couchbase because of the database’s impressive scalability and suitability for cloud orchestrations while maintaining superior performance.

We’re thankful for the customer momentum we saw in Q3 and the opportunity to highlight how our customers are building their modern applications on Couchbase.
