Different from day 1
Couchbase was formed when Membase and CouchOne came together to become a leader in JSON databases. With integrated cache and key-value access, we laid the groundwork for the memory-first performance and flexibility that allow AI apps to scale today.

We added meaningful innovations that allowed the world’s biggest companies to bring their data from the cloud to the edge, and even offline. From SQL query to full-text search and cross data center replication, we made it possible to remove limits to data access.
