Wrapping up the 3 Day Samsung Developer Conference was a complete blast.  “Into the Future over at Samsung Developer Conference,” we saw a glimpse of Samsung’s version of the future of mobile and wearable technology over at San Francisco’s Moscone Center where Samsung Gear S was showcased along side the BMW i3.

I got a first hand experience with YELP on the Samsung Gear S, which was part of the show case apps built entirely from Javascript and it was by far the thinnest keyboard I have typed on.  Surprisingly, no typos and a nearby coffee shop turned up in the suggestions.

Nearly 500 hundred attendees visited Couchbase Mobile team at the Couchbase booth which was amongst the popular kiosks such as Babolat that demostrated their connected sports technology.  Sports performance tracking was a big theme that saw 94Fifty‘s sensor Basketball on display by NeuroSky that tracked a player’s arc and body metrics.  In the future, technologies such as these will be providing the required competitive edge for athletes to gain the needed advantage.  We are in the wearable 1.0 era and it is only going to become even more prominent in the near future.

Couchbase Mobile tech talk session at the Partner Theater describes our mobile connected future and the technology that is critical in creating an ubiquitous always connected mobile experience, regardless of your device’s network connectivity.  With the unveiling of Samsung’s Placedge SDK, BLE Beacon-based services are being integrated into the retail experience faster than ever and Couchbase’s beacon sample app demonstrates the ability of applications being enabled to have offline mode while providing a seamless experience for end users.

Overall, the conference show cased a connected future that is rich in mobile experience throughout.  Regardless, from smart homes that featured the Samsung Gear VR for entertainment, cars with interactive dashboards, and wearables that extend the engagement even further for mobile, Couchbase Mobile’s solution is central in augmenting that mobile future’s vision.
