Mac OSX 10.10.1 - New Installation Asking for Username Password

I had a previous couchbase installation which didn’t ask for any username password during setup, I might be wrong though. Now I removed that installation and installed latest version 3.0.1. After installation as soon as I go to admin console, in place of giving me the setup wizard, it goes to login page.

Here is what I tried so far:

  • Reinstall a couple times.
  • Opened config.dat file, it’s empty
  • Deleted config.date file completely

None of the above steps has helped. Has anyone run into similar issue or know a solution?

This issue is resolved by removing Couchbase folder under /users/(username)/Library/Application\ Support.

You could have also used the cbreset_password tool.

Thanks. I was looking for a tool like this before deleting the directory but couldn’t find anything. I will keep this one in mind in case I run into same situation again.
