Last week, during our first quarter fiscal 2024 earnings call, we were excited to share customer momentum across a broad range of industries including technology, e-commerce, healthcare, and travel. We are seeing increasing engagement and uptake of our as-a-service offering, Couchbase Capella. During the quarter we crossed a key milestone with the number of Capella customers now in the triple digits. Some exciting new Capella wins included a fast growing pet health and wellness company, a next-gen real estate technology company, and a revenue cycle management software company.

PetIQ is an integrated pet 건강과 웰빙 company that offers pet parents convenient access to affordable veterinary services and other products via an easy-to-use app. They needed to modernize and upgrade their home-grown pet profile mobile app with a database that had more robust features and was higher performing to keep pace with their growing business. Capella was selected because of its offline sync capabilities so that the PetIQ app used by veterinarians will work on their tablets regardless of internet connectivity. They consider Couchbase to be a long-term strategic partner for their application modernization journey.
A Fortune 500 에너지 customer that leverages Couchbase for its main field application decided to migrate a meaningful portion of its estate to Capella. The move demonstrates how our large enterprise customers can leverage the full capabilities of Couchbase while enjoying the greater flexibility, efficiency, and TCO inherent to our on-demand offering.
Israel based startup, PUBLC aims to revolutionize the search industry by building a community-driven search engine, powered by cutting-edge AI models, and anchored in a blockchain-based revenue model that rewards the entire web ecosystem. Couchbase serves as PUBLC’s main database, powering its indexing and querying for its search experience. As PUBLC continues to grow, the company has made a strategic decision to expand its investment in Capella. Recognizing Capella as a crucial element, PUBLC believes it will effectively support the expanding user base and deliver superior performance while maintaining cost efficiency.
Game developer, publisher and technology provider East Side Games expanded its investment in Capella for its content management app for building engaging, responsive, and scalable gaming experiences. This customer is investing more in its partnership with Couchbase because of the cost and resource efficiency our platform provides. With Capella, its development team can spend more time building compelling games instead of dealing with ongoing database management.
