Thanks for sharing this.

Features like Non-root install/upgrade, Info & Backup examine are welcome features for the administrators.
Features like Data Import via the UI & TTL Support in Query would be welcomed by developers.

Index advisor is good but it would be best to see a query advisor. At times, it is the query that is written sub-optimally which can be re-written (making use of existing indices) to perform better. Any plans for the same?

Regards

Yes, we do have plan to go beyond Index advisor. Hence the use the ADVISE [INDEX]. There area many aspects to advise query, some of which we will handle transparently with CBO. Stay tuned.

Do you have a community edition release in mind?

While Index Advisor is a new feature added in 6.5, and now GA’d in 6.6. This feature has also been available to everyone as a service. https://blog.couchbase.com/index-advisor-service/

I’m asking in general, not just about the Index Advisor feature. For example, the new Java Transactions API states that it works solely with 6.6. I see that only enterprise-6.6 tags are published on Docker Hub.

Couchbase v6.6 CE is targeted for the end of August.
