CouchBase Server Start does not work

Hi new to CouchBase. Performed a root install on AWS EC2 server Redhat 9.4 and it was easy. However I cannot get the server to start.
couchbase-server --status
Couchbase Server is not running

couchbase-server --start

couchbase-server --status

Couchbase Server is not running

I’ve looked at all the logs and see no significant error. Thought perhaps kernel or ulimit or port so I set all ulimit to unlimited and I set the kernel required settings still will not start. The ports I opened on the server. Not sure I set all ports open local and remote used. Any idea why it will not start?
