CB 7.2 Release Notes

Hi Team,

While going through 7.2 release notes there is point for cbbackumgr, cbimport and cbexport.
So just trying to understand the feature mentioned as below

“network=external”

and we did not found any such example in host format section.
Could someone help me to understand the actual feature how it is benefited form previous releases .

The below is the snippet for CB 7.2.3 release note.

When connecting from an external network, you can now use the network=externaloption to specify an alternate address when usingcbbackupmgr, cbimport, andcbexport .

Thanks,
Debasis

What it’s for plus an example. It’s in the link you provided.

Users of the CAO (Couchbase Autonomous Operator) or K8S may need to supply the network=external query parameter to force connection via the defined alternate addressing.

For example, the following are valid connection strings:

  • https://10.0.0.1:12345,10.0.0.2?network=external
