Hello everyone,
This is Jim Borden, the developer of Couchbase Lite .NET, speaking. I’m pleased to announce the availability of developer build #3 for the 2.0 API of Couchbase Lite available on three platforms now: Objective-C, Swift, and .NET. These are not feature-complete by any means and are meant to give a window of insight into how we are planning to implement our first major version bump since Couchbase Lite started development years ago. Things will most definitely change, be added, or be removed at will as we work through what design decisions make the most sense and how we can get consistency on all of our platforms but we encourage you all to take a look and see what you think. We are open to comments and suggestions, but be warned that the critical period is now! Once 2.0 GA comes out this window will be mostly closed as we will have to maintain backwards compatibility throughout the 2.x line. Users of our product are fundamentally important and our goal is to create a product that is easy to use to create performant robust applications quickly. The more input we receive, the more we can achieve this.
For more information about this developer build see this blog post. I hope you will all give this a shot and let us know what works and what doesn’t!
