Sync Gateway Backup

We are running Couchbase 6.6 CE and sync gateway 2.1.
We use cbbackup to backup our data bucket.
Is there any data in the sync gateway that needs backing up (users?)?

If so what needs backing up and what is the process to restore a sync gateway?

All data Sync Gateway creates, including users, are stored in the Couchbase Server bucket itself. The only thing you really need to think about is your sync gateway config file.

In order to maintain consistency of data, you should not have any Sync Gateways running when you perform a restore on the bucket. Instead start them up only after the restore has finished - this should be sufficient to prevent inconsistent sequence numbering of documents.
