Currently, we’re using authentication using both certificates and credentials. However, the main issue with this is both of these have to be rotated, audited, maintained and that will be huge overhead. Is it possible to use user embedded client certificates without requiring username and password for specific embedded user?
I believe it is. You can verify with a simple test.
