Cette configuration est courante dans les bases de donn\u00e9es relationnelles comme MySQL ou PostgreSQL, o\u00f9 la haute disponibilit\u00e9 est privil\u00e9gi\u00e9e et o\u00f9 l'ensemble de donn\u00e9es est encore suffisamment petit pour \u00eatre g\u00e9r\u00e9 sans partitionnement (sharding).<br><br><strong>Sharding sans clustering :<\/strong> D'un autre c\u00f4t\u00e9, le sharding peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 sans clustering dans des applications \u00e0 forte intensit\u00e9 d'\u00e9criture ou des syst\u00e8mes dot\u00e9s d'ensembles de donn\u00e9es massifs qui ne tiennent pas sur une seule machine. Une plateforme de m\u00e9dias sociaux comptant des millions d'utilisateurs peut fragmenter (sharder) sa base de donn\u00e9es par ID utilisateur, de sorte que chaque fragment contienne un sous-ensemble de donn\u00e9es utilisateur. Chaque fragment fonctionne ind\u00e9pendamment dans ce cas, et il n'y a pas de redondance \u00e0 moins que des m\u00e9canismes sp\u00e9cifiques ne soient mis en \u0153uvre pour g\u00e9rer les pannes. Il existe trois principaux types d'architectures de clusters de bases de donn\u00e9es : <strong>rien partag\u00e9, disque partag\u00e9 et tout partag\u00e9<\/strong>. Ces architectures offrent des compromis diff\u00e9rents en mati\u00e8re de performances, d'\u00e9volutivit\u00e9 et de tol\u00e9rance aux pannes, ce qui les rend adapt\u00e9es \u00e0 diff\u00e9rents cas d'utilisation.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Architecture sans partage<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dans une architecture sans partage, chaque n\u0153ud du cluster fonctionne de mani\u00e8re ind\u00e9pendante. Chaque n\u0153ud poss\u00e8de son propre processeur, sa propre m\u00e9moire et son propre stockage, et ils ne partagent aucune ressource avec les autres n\u0153uds.
