SQL++ is an modern query language designed to work with semi-structured data and the JSON data model. SQL++ is backwards-compatible with SQL.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"paragraph\">\n<p>The Coucbase Analytics Service is currently in developer preview. As such, there are occasional breaking changes between releases. This post serves to document those changes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"sect1\">\n<h2 id=\"_6_0\">6.0<\/h2>\n<div class=\"sectionbody\">\n<div class=\"sect2\">\n<h3 id=\"_data_definition_language\">Data Definition Language<\/h3>\n<div class=\"ulist\">\n<ul>\n<li>Bucket association is now automatic\n<div class=\"paragraph\">\n<p>Previous versions required explicit association between Analytics buckets and Couchbase Server buckets. For example, <code>CREATE BUCKET ha WITH {\"name\":\"health\"}<\/code>. Analytics buckets now automatically mirror Server buckets, e.g. in the previous example other Analytics DDL commands can refer to a bucket <code>health<\/code> without any extra configuration.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>Dataset definitions no longer require the <code>SHADOW<\/code> keyword\n<div class=\"paragraph\">\n<p>Preview releases before version 5.5 required the <code>SHADOW<\/code> keyword. It is optional in v5.5. It is an error to include it in v6.0. The syntax for creating datasets is therefore <code>CREATE DATASET ((dataverse_name.)? dataset_name)? ON bucket_name (WHERE where_exp)?<\/code>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li><code>CONNECT\/DISCONNECT BUCKET<\/code> have been replaced by <code>CONNECT\/DISCONNECT LINK<\/code>\n<div class=\"paragraph\">\n<p>The connect and disconnect commands activate\/deactivate dataset processing of data from Server buckets. The new full syntax is <code>CONNECT LINK (dataverse_name.)? Local (, (dataverse_name.)? Local)*<\/code>.
