At Couchbase we are committed to contributing to the Open Source Community.\u00a0 We want our community here to be welcoming and open, and as we work to increase community engagement, we think it\u2019s important to set the tone for what is expected. As our Couchbase community grows, it is important to us that we continue to keep our community open and welcoming to all who wish to participate.\u00a0The\u00a0Couchbase Code of Conduct<\/a>\u00a0is a way to communicate our values to the community and we hope to encourage others to take part and get involved.<\/p>\n

Couchbase Community strives to:<\/p>\n

Be open:<\/strong>\u00a0We invite anybody, from any company, to participate in any aspect of our projects. Our community is open to all who wish to take part.
\nBe empathetic:\u00a0<\/strong>We work together to resolve conflict, assume good intentions and do our best to act in an empathic fashion. We don’t allow frustration to turn into a personal\u00a0attack. A community where people feel uncomfortable or threatened is not a productive one.
\nBe collaborative:\u00a0<\/strong>Collaboration reduces redundancy and improves the quality of our work. We prefer to work transparently and involve interested parties as early as possible and with others in the free software community to coordinate our efforts.
\nBe pragmatic<\/strong>: Nobody knows everything, Asking questions early avoids many problems later, so questions are encouraged.. Those who are asked should be responsive and helpful.
\nStep down considerately<\/strong>: Members of every project come and go. When somebody leaves or disengages from the project they should tell people they are leaving and take the proper steps to ensure that others can pick up where they left off.<\/p>\n
