This enhancement is key to improving your application&#8217;s reliability, availability, and security.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In our previous <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.couchbase.com\/blog\/logstream-capella-app-services-part2\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">blog post<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, we explored how App Services logs can be collected and analyzed by platforms such as Datadog to support real-time monitoring and rapid issue detection.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This week&#8217;s blog post shifts focus to another major observability provider: <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sumologic.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sumo Logic<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. I&#8217;ll walk you through the process of seamlessly streaming logs from Capella App Services to Sumo Logic to enable log collection, visualization and proactive logs analysis.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This blog post is designed for those who have a grasp of real-time Log Streaming in App Services. To demonstrate how you can leverage this platform, I\u2019ll guide you through a tutorial on integrating Capella App Services with Sumo Logic&#8217;s log-based monitoring and alerting capabilities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The integration process is straightforward. Capella App Services can be easily set up to stream logs in real time to Sumo Logic hosted collectors. The only configuration required on the App Services side is a pre-generated signed URL, which is obtainable directly from Sumo Logic. 400;\">How to set up log streaming to Sumo Logic<\/span><\/h3>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Step 1: Sign Up for Sumo Logic Free Trial<\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Navigate to the Sumo Logic website.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Locate the option to sign up for a free trial and follow the prompts to create an account.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ensure the name reflects its purpose, such as, e.g: &#8220;AppServicesCollector&#8221;.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Save your settings to proceed.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a endpoint will be generated.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Securely save the endpoint URL; you will need this for the Capella App style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Navigate to your App Service and select &#8220;Settings&#8221; &gt; &#8220;Log Streaming.&#8221;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Step 8: Set Up Log Streaming to Sumo Logic<\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the Log Streaming Settings in App Services, select Sumo Logic as the provider from the dropdown menu.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Paste the signed HTTP endpoint URL you obtained from the Sumo Logic Data Collector setup.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This action will start streaming the logs from Capella App Services to the Sumo Logic Hosted Collector<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click &#8220;New&#8221; to create a new search, and select &#8220;Log Search.&#8221;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the search bar, input the query (_source=&#8221;AppServices&#8221;) or replace &#8220;AppServices&#8221; with the name you gave your Data Source earlier.
