I wanted to give a shout out for the Cleveland Java Users Group\u00a0<\/a>for hosting me and organizing a meetup despite very little notice. The healthy interaction in the group seems reflective of the sentiment of the larger Java community in general. I am not totally surprised by the findings that surfaced in James’ blog<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Relational Databases has enjoyed an uprecedented run with the technology community for a variety of reasons.\u00a0One of the main reasons for the success of relational databases is the tools and the ecosystem that are well understood by developers and casual users.\u00a0<\/span>However, the lack of flexibility and the ability of simplify the architectures is taking a toll. \u00a0I won’t even mention the cliched scaling out. To keep the talk as unbiased as possible,\u00a0I was talking about the lack of maturity of the tools in general and the data visualization tools in particular.\u00a0<\/span>So, it came to me as a pleasant surprise when it was pointed to by an attendee of the talk that the Couchbase Admin. console is very simple to use, very intuitive and extremely responsive (thanks for watching the demonstration!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I owe thanks to @javacleveland and @couchbase for all the support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My hope is to do more of these JUG\/community talks in the coming days. Please feel to reach out to me to schedule a talk.
