h3. Version Relationships
Couchbase Single Server and [Apache CouchDB|http://couchdb.apache.org] share codebase, and the Couchbase project works to contribute changes back to Apache CouchDB wherever possible.
Sometimes people are confused by version numbers, so this (non-authoritative!) page aims to make it more clear. Authoritative information is available on the Couchbase download page.
