MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. – January 20, 2014  – Couchbase, the fastest-growing NoSQL technology provider and the company behind the Couchbase open source project, announced it will host Couchbase [Tokyo], a one-day event to be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 in Tokyo, bringing Couchbase users, developers and the emerging NoSQL community together in Japan.

Couchbase [Tokyo] will offer insights into developing with NoSQL, the database technology increasingly being adopted by enterprises to manage and scale large datasets. The event will also provide an overview of what IT teams should consider when getting started and growing with Couchbase’s technology.

Couchbase [Tokyo] Agenda Highlights:

  • Couchbase’s Matt Ingenthron, director of developer solutions, will provide an introduction to the Couchbase Server and offer insights into basic use cases for views, the anatomy of map/reduce functions and the difference between an indexor and an index in terms of resources and updates.
  • Jessica Liu, Couchbase product manager, will deliver an overview of JSON Anywhere, Couchbase’s new NoSQL mobile strategy, with details on the mobile product offerings: Couchbase Lite, Couchbase Sync Gateway and Couchbase Cloud.
