Server stops responding after 3-4 minutes of intense usage

I took the liberty to open a bug case on this, not sure if I was right to do so.... anyway it's MB-7232 and the detailed info is there.
Server version is 1.8.1 64bit community edition running on Ubuntu server 12.04.1 64bits
On the client side I am using the .NET SDK's client library version 1.1.6
Server runs at heavy load for about 5 minutes, then stops responding. The setup was 2 buckets (1 memcached, 1 couchbase) on two hosts (4 cores, 16 GB RAM, 60GB HD)
First run was 20 Nov 2012 14:15 - 14:18 (when it crashed)
and second 20 Nov 2012 15:00 - 15:04 (when it crashed again)
the logs out of one of the servers are posted at the support issue.
any help much appreciated
as commented in the issue, the error was in the application that didn't correctly set the CouchbaseClient as a singleton.
Case closed, no blame to couchbase
