Hi,

I've just recently installed membase in Ubuntu and I haven't manage to find a way to make it part of our existing cluster.

Note that I've first set it up to be a new cluster (play with it a bit) and now i'm not able to change it in the web console to be part of the existing one.

Do i need to uninstall/install ?
Any help appreciated

Thank you
Andre R. Ferreira

You should be able to go to the existing cluster, select "add server" and enter the IP address and user/pass of that single node. You'll have to delete any non-default buckets, and it won't have any effect on your existing cluster.

One thing to keep in mind, just in case, there's a bug regarding adding 1.7.0 nodes to a 1.6.x cluster...don't do that.

Perry

Thanks for the reply perry.

We have also tried to remove the config.dat file and a couple of other folders, our objective was to gett the install wizard back up. No luck, so:

Making use of Perry's reply, will log you off from the node automatically and then you will have to login with the clusters login and password. After that the node will be a part of the cluster. Not 100% transparent but sufficient.
