Requesting Guide to Compiling Membase from Source Repo

I'm trying to evluate membase for a deployment and am not very interested in the 2-4 week release schedule where there can be critical bugs in between the idle window. 

Is there a simple guide to compiling a working membase from the github repo? 

It would be much appreciated. Thanks.
