Membase ver: 1.6.5.3
OS: i686-pc-linux-gnu

I execute set command direct to memcached server(shiped with membase, port 11210),can reach 16000TPS.
but if I talk to moxi(port 11212,proxy to 11210),the same command just can reach 11000TPS.
so if I want get the best performance,I should not connect to moxi?

You actually need to connect to Moxi (unless you're using a "smart client": Enyim for .NET or spymemcached for Java).

If you have a multi-server setup, talking to Moxi on the server-side may introduce some extra network traffic so it's out best practice to run Moxi on the client itself and talk to "localhost": http://techzone.couchbase.com/wiki/display/membase/Moxi

There are also a number of tuning parameters available to get the most performance out of Moxi: http://techzone.couchbase.com/wiki/display/membase/Moxi+Performance+Tuning
