Hi,

I've created a new node and I have added it to our current cluster (of 1 node).

It's been over an hour and I am experiencing the same problem I did a few weeks back when I tried to add a second node to a cluster of 1 node.

The pending rebalance is never ending... There are 400mb of ram allocated on the node 1 (from which only 200mb are taken at the moment) but still the second node does not seem able to catch it...

I do not conceive this makes sense, we're talknig about a few mb of data.

Something must be wrong somewhere, what should I do ?

Do you by chance have a lot more data on disk than you have in memory? Also, are you running 1.8.0?

One thing you may want to check is if during the rebalance the vbuckets on the various servers in the console are moving. Rebalance may go slow if it requires lots of IO, but it is actually happening. The best way to see the forward progress at the moment is through the vbuckets per server changing.
