Is there a plan and possible time frame when there might be an OS X build of Server version 2.0?

Also, Currently I am using CouchDB for my application, I've done some testing and found that with a 2 node cluster of Couchbase Server 2.0, my REST stuff still works to port 5984(couchdb). What are the implications of this until I can begin to use the memcached interface?

Hi Chris,

thanks for writing. We're working hard on a Mac OS X release, keep your eyes peeled to our downloads page.

For Couchbase 2.0 we do not support using the CouchDB API on port 5984. You can introduce cluster inconsistencies and other fun stuff. We'd advise to stick with Couchbase Single Server or Apache CouchDB for the time being. If you want to start using the memcached interface though, that is already possible.

For Couchbase 3.0 you can freely choose which API you want to use, both the CouchDB and the memcached APIs will be fully supported.

Cheers
Jan
