We are experiencing an issue where our Moxi client is losing its connectivity with the Membase server. When this happens the CPU on the web server spikes to 100% and the server becomes unresponsive. We've sifted through the Moxi logs at the time of these issues and there is nothing obvious being logged.

Can anyone point us in the right direction as to what to check for on the Membase side of things that might help us with this issue. We are running a Membase 1.6.5.3 cluster and the Moxi clients are version 1.7.0_4 running on RHEL 5.3. We have a dozen Moxi client processes running listening on different ports. Also, the clients are virtual machines with shared storage.

Thanks in advance.

There are a number of bugs which have been addressed that could have this symptom. Can you upgrade to Couchbase Server 1.8? This is the successor to Membase 1.6 and 1.7.

Thanks for the response ingenthr. We are currently moving towards Couchbase Server 1.8 and should be there soon. Hopefully this is due to one of the bugs that has been addresses.

I'll report back once we have migrated over.
