MembaseServcer 126.96.36.199 unable to start on Windows Server 2008 x64 (solved)
I guess that this issue might relate to the topic here: http://www.couchbase.org/forums/thread/couchbase-112-wont-start-windows-...
I installed latest Windows x64 build of Membase Server (membase-server-enterprise_x86_64_188.8.131.52.setup.exe) on a Windows Server 2008 x64 machine, and the MembaseServer service is unable to start. I can find similar Error events in the Windows Application log as following:
Activation context generation failed for "C:\Program Files\Membase\Server\bin\erlang\erts-5.8.3\bin\erl.exe". Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC80.CRT,processorArchitecture="x86",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type="win32",version="8.0.50727.4053" could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis.
I'll also try the workaround to install the Erlang separately to see if I can get the server running or not.
