MembaseServcer 1.7.1.1 unable to start on Windows Server 2008 x64 (solved)

I installed latest Windows x64 build of Membase Server (membase-server-enterprise_x86_64_1.7.1.1.setup.exe) on a Windows Server 2008 x64 machine, and the MembaseServer service is unable to start. I can find similar Error events in the Windows Application log as following:

Activation context generation failed for "C:\Program Files\Membase\Server\bin\erlang\erts-5.8.3\bin\erl.exe". Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC80.CRT,processorArchitecture="x86",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type="win32",version="8.0.50727.4053" could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis.

I'll also try the workaround to install the Erlang separately to see if I can get the server running or not.

I got it running by installing the C:\Program Files\Membase\Server\bin\erlang\vcredist_x86.exe. This one contains the missing assembly version (.4053) that the error log talks about.

I think that in the CouchBase forum topic mentioned above, lancefisher installed a different version (.762) from http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=5638 and this could be the reason that why this doesn't work.
