Membase service suddenly stopped
Wed, 07/13/2011 - 16:57
We've recently upgraded to 1.7 (which by the way went horribly, the mmbackup command did not back up well and the install did not upgrade the installation, it simply removed Membase and I had to manually force back in the old data from 1.6.X).
But that's a different story - Membase's service just suddenly died out, these are the errors I see in the event log:
MembaseServer: Erlang machine seems to die continously, not restarted. MembaseServer: Erlang machine stopped instantly (distribution name conflict?). The service is not restarted, ignoring OnFail option.
And warnings:
MembaseServer: Using TerminateProcess to kill erlang. MembaseServer: Restarted erlang machine.
Is this a known issue?
Is there a fix for it?
Thanks

Can you please send the output of /opt/membase/bin/mbcollect_info to perry@couchbase.com?
Can you also paste the output of the upgrade that didn't work for you?
Thanks
Perry
Also, we've installed a system update and restarted the machine - our server has been running for 8 minutes and it's still pending and 0 items loaded to RAM.
