 Hello,

I'm trying to install membase on my fedora 13 Server

I followed the command from the user guide: rpm -- install membase-server....

now, I get 2 errors:

libcrypto.so.6 is needed by membase-server-1.6.0.1-.i386
lbssl.so.6 is needed by membase-server-1.6.0.1-1.i386

I installed openssl like this: yum install openssl-devel but it didn't hep

I tried to create a shortcut to the libcrypto file in /lib with the command "ln -s"...
but it didn't help too...(maybe I didn't do it right)

I would appreciate your help. I'm pretty stuck on it
and I can't wait to work with membase!

thanks in advanced
David

David,

Unfortunately we don't support Fedora right now.

If you want to build Membase from source, please follow the steps outlined here:

I'm not sure about fedora13 but on RHEL6 this libraries can be found in package openssl098e. With that and ksh package I was able to install membase binaries on RHEL6.

David,

Please let us know if you were able to get this to work with Steven's and alkondratenko's suggestions.
