Hi,

I am getting following Alerts in my Membase log,
[01:37:59] - IP address seems to have changed. Unable to listen on 'ns_1@169.254.27.12'.
[01:48:02] - IP address seems to have changed. Unable to listen on 'ns_1@169.254.27.12'.

Important thing to note here is My PC address is 192.168.0.100 and I dont know how did Membase got above IP address.
I tried stopping the service but i couldnt do it. And it gives "Access is denied" reason for me.

Not sure, how to move forward from here. Could someone give me pointers to move from here?

Thanks in Advance.

Thanks,
Azeez

You know, I am having the exact same problem.
I just installed the latest update and now my
server IP has changed from 192.168.1.2 to ns_1@169.254......
with the same errors. Now I have to stop coding and try
and figure out why. Why is installation presuming what IP I
am going to use on install.

Er, I should have said, with 1.7.2. Also, which OS are each of you using? I suspect Windows, but please give me the specific release.

This is how I resolved this problem-

Co to this link-
http://www.couchbase.org/wiki/display/membase/Using+Membase+in+the+Cloud

scroll the page down to IP Addresses

and followed the For Windows configuration..

Tips
on step 4. I opened the file with notepad2 (or editor of your choice) and made the changes and saved it.

remember to right click and choose run as administrator when starting, stopping and unregistering
the services.
