Hi all,

When I install moxi in membase , it occured a error message.

checking pkg-config is at least version 0.9.0... ./configure: line 25583: /usr/bin/;/usr/lib/pkgconfig;/usr/local/lib/pkgconfig/: No such file or directory
no
checking for CHECK... configure: error: The pkg-config script could not be found or is too old.  Make sure it
is in your PATH or set the PKG_CONFIG environment variable to the full
path to pkg-config.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables CHECK_CFLAGS
and CHECK_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

How could I solve this problem?

Thx..

what version of pkgconfig do you have installed? You can use the following command:

 yum list | grep pkgconfig

I use Linux kernel 2.6.34.and hardware is TILERA...

so I can't use yum , but the pkg-config --version show "0.25"

How to build pkgconfig? Is it the same as pkg-config?

Why does it  occur this problem when  I install the moxi and libconflate.?

Thank you..

But in my os,It doesn't has erlang.

The erlang seems also could not install in my os..so that the ns_server can't install .

Do you have any idea?

Is there any thin versoin of membase?

Maybe the makefile could be modified by gcc..

I notice that you're running on Tilera hardware.  We worked closely with them some time ago to get Membase up and running but it was determined that their kernel or our software would need too many changes to make it work in the near-term.

Are you in touch with Tilera directly?  It may make sense to reach out to them for any guidance.

Hi Perry,

The ns-server needs Erlang to build.

Have you ever build Erlang in Tilera hardware?

Could you tell me how to build Erlang Or how to modify the source code to build the ns-server without using Erlang ?

I can't find out the guidance about how to build software in Tilera..

Thank you..

Yes, we currently require Erlang in order to build ns-server.  As I mentioned above, we worked with Tilera a bit and ran into enough problems getting our software to build that we decided to put it on hold for the time being.

We have a wiki page that describes building our software from source, but I have a feeling it won't be enough to get it running on Tilera (http://wiki.membase.org/display/membase/Building+on+Linux+from+source).

Have you purchased hardware from Tilera?  I would reach out to them directly for any help in this area.
