im using membase for develop social game.  I am interested in the new release of Couchbase Server, but not really sure How is Couchbase Server different from Membase, what advantage and disadvantage.  A clear side-by-side feature comparison would be helpful.  Thanks!

Unless I am mistaken, this release is a slight enhancement on couchdb, with geocouch added in. As such it's not a united product (yet) with membase/cache.

I believe that will be in the near future and that is what I am really looking forward to seeing.

For now I use couch and membase but manage them as they are, two seperate datastores, three if one counts the base/cache difference.

Yes, that is essentially correct.  We are planning the first "integrated" release of Couchbase (basically Membase plus CouchDB) in the summertime and until then, the two will be separate but complimentary products.

It's also worth noting that the protocols and APIs will remain compatible going forward so you can begin development today with Membase and CouchDB and seamlessly migrate to the combined product when it is available.

Hello, I've a question.
I've installed Couchbase but in this thread I've read that at the moment Couchbase is equal to CouchDB.
What should I do?
Can I begin development now by installing Membase (Couchbase is already installed), or should I uninstall Couchbase first, and then install CouchDB and Membase?
Thanks.
