Firewall setup on a multi-client server
Greetings all. My company is currently evaluating different distributed caching solutions and I got a question on CouchBase 1.8 in regards to the firewall management. According to the documentation the following ports should be opened between any Node in the cluster and the client; 8091, 11209, and 11210.
The documentation implies the ports must be opened from the Node to the Client and not the otherway around. If I'm inferring this correctly then how can client be configured to use a different port? In our environment we run multiple App Servers on a single server so each one could be potentially using their own CouchBase client instance to talk to the cluster. Again, assuming I'm reading this correctly why/when would the Nodes need to instantiate the communication with the client?
Thanks in advance.
