Failed to start the MembaseServer service in windows XP
Hi All,
I have successfully installed the membase-server-community_x86_1.7.1 to my PC(Windows XP SP3), however it is failed to start the MembaseServer service in Windows XP (Error 1067, process terminated unexpectedly), I can't proceed further configuration via "http://localhost:8091/" any more.I have also tried 1.7.0 version, but the issue still remains.
Could anyone provide the solution?
Perry, this issue has been solved, it is caused by another virtual network adapter which was installed in my PC, says there are more than one network adapters existing in my PC. After I removed the virtual one, and just keep only one local network adapter, the MembaseServer service can be started successfully.
Hope my experience will help others.
Alex, unfortunately we are not able to explicitly support Windows XP at this time. There are some known issues so I would recommend trying to use a different OS.
That being said, if you could run the following command and send the output to 'perry@couchbase.com' that would be helpful:
C:\Program Files\Membase\Server\bin\mbcollect_info
Thank you
Perry
