Hi,

I am setting up Membase on a novel architecture.  I am currently deciding on the build options for Erlang.  Is it advisable to enable Hipe support for Erlang for use with Membase.  What are the performance issues with and without Hipe support?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Jon, at the moment we don't have any dependency on or conflict with Hipe.  It's been observed that we work with it on or off.

As a note, our data traffic performance is not affected at all by our Erlang layer since the cluster management system is out of band.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Perry
