Embedded Version of Couchbase (but not the IOS version)?

Hi,
New to Couchbase, but familiar with other NoSQL databases. I was wondering if it is possible at all to "embed" an micro-instance of Couchbase and an initial set of data in a java application?
The aim would then be for a separate central Couchbase cluster to update instances of the data in a number of the satellite java applications with the embedded instances.
The java app would be written with the Spring MVC or Play! Frameworks and built using the usual Maven build approach.
Is this currently possible with CouchBase?
Thanks & regards,

Not at this time, and it's not JVM based. However I can imagine you could use something like TouchDB (Mobile CouchDB, the Android port is Java based) and BaseCouch (TouchDB/Couchbase sync) creatively but... those aren't Couchbase but the general idea is what you are talking about. Our Mobile area is in heavy development with a lot of new use cases being worked on, stay tuned! Definitely an Interesting use case!
Might want to get on the Mobile Couchbase forums here: https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!forum/mobile-couchbase
