couchbase server crashed due to mnesia error

Error dump showed this error message "Mnesia detected overload during dump_log because of write_threshold"
We tried setting erlang parameters to increase limits for "dc_dump_limit" and "dump_log_write_threshold" in couchbase config files, but not able to assert if those configuration changes took effect.
Any help is appreciated.
