Couchbase kills internet connection

Dear all,
I have noticed, that some times (once per several weeks) couchbase causes internet issue: there is no internet connection - I can't browse internet pages, skype can't login, etc. At the same time network is alive (e.g., outlook still sends/receives messages).
The problem is fixed only by stopping and then starting couchbase service (sometimes requires windows reboot).
I have seen this issue on several computers with Win Xp SP3 32 bit platform and Couchbase version 1.8.0 community edition (build-55).
What can be the reason for this issue?
I tried to google it, but found no similar cases.
Best regards,
Mikhail Kalinkin.
This is just an instinctive guess, but it sounds to me like Win XP's networking probably is running out of some of its internal resources because one program (Couchbase) is staying running and doing things with the network for a long time, and the resources aren't getting recycled and so it runs out and then can't offer new connections to a new application such as a web browser. MS Outlook keeps working either because Windows never shuts down the core process it uses, and/or it has a permanent lease on the network resources or uses some other or higher-prioritized access to them than a browser/Skype/etc do.
