I had installed Couchbase 1.8 and faced no problems. However on installing the 32 bit Couchbase 2.0.0 developer preview 4 and opening the console window I got a webpage displaying the message:

Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to localhost:8091

I have already tried to access the console after restarting the machine but the problem persists.

How can i get rid of this problem and access the administrator console?

It's hard for me to know exactly what the issue is without seeing the server logs. We do have newer versions of Couchbase out though. Can you download the latest build here:

http://www.couchbase.com/download

Just click on the drop down box and select latest builds.

If this still doesn't work for you then let me know.
