Hello:

Couchbase 2.0 has crashed multiple times on my laptop, I'm unable to restart it. I tried deleting the data folder, it comes up, but as I create my buckets, it fails again.

Can you plz let me know what debug info should I be looking at to better understand what is going on?

Thanks!

Vishal

Can you please share with us the content of your logs (error)?
1- Uninstall ( http://www.couchbase.com/docs/couchbase-manual-2.0/couchbase-uninstallin... )
2- Install

Hello Tug,

I re-installed as you recommended, however I don't see a log folder in C:\Program Files\Couchbase\Server. Does it get created automatically?

Also, I noticed thru the log section in web console that all my buckets shutdown by themselves and restart, while this was occurring, my client was timing out.

When does couchbase decide to shut down a bucket? Obviously, this is very undesirable. We are planning to move to production in 2-3 months and this is causing me a little headache!

Thanks!

Hello,

Hmm I really do not understand what is happening here.
Do you think that an Antvirus or Firewall or something else could stop some process?
I have the feeling that something external to Couchbase kills the server... (note that I am not a Windows user and not familiar with this)

A bucket is "never stopped" this is why I am asking.

If we want to go further in the analysis you should provide us more log, you can follow the steps described here and let me know when it is done:

Regards
