Hello,
Is there anything akin to concept of CouchDB database in Couchbase. Previously we had got used to thinking in terms of database.
Also what are the supported mechanism for backing up couchbase server besides the usual replication, which is on the go. Suppose I want to take away a subset of data in forms of particular datatypes etc and back those up separately. I could possibly write a programmatic way of doing it, I guess.

It would be good to have a simple comparison matrix page on what features have changed from user point of view.

Regards.

We're currently using the concept of buckets to represent databases. Under the hood, a single bucket is actually split up into many individual Couch databases, but those aren't exposed to the end user.

In terms of backing up, we're still working on a good interface for it, but you're able to just copy the on-disk files to get a good snapshot of the data to be loaded in somewhere else.

At the moment, Couchbase Server is much closer to what Membase Server was and is not meant to serve as a direct replacement for Couchbase Single (based off of CouchDB).

You should be able to find some more information on our website regarding the features of the various products, please let me know if you have any other confusion.
