Hello all~! I need your help for my failure in installing moxi-server on redhat.

I switch to root and run the following command:
# rpm -i moxi-server_x86_1.6.5.4.rpm

You have successfully installed Moxi Server.

See: /opt/moxi/1.6.5.4

By using this software you agree to the End User License Agreement.
See /opt/moxi/LICENSE.txt.

Although I was showed that moxi-server was installed successfully as above, I can't find the conf. files at /opt/moxi, where they should be, as following:

# ls /opt/moxi
1.6.5.4 bin LICENSE.txt

And I can't find the binary moxi-server at /etc/init.d, either.

# ls /etc/init.d/moxi-server
ls: /etc/init.d/moxi-server: No such file or directory

If I attempted to run /opt/bin/moxi, I was showed:

2011-05-30 16:14:23: (memcached.c.4767) can't run as root without the -u switch

Can anyone help? Thanks~!

Tom, the 1.6.5.4 version of Moxi is not implemented as a service. I think there is a small time-delay between our documentation updating and the release being available. I've updated the Wiki documentation to make note of this.

You can start Moxi manually as you've tried, but you can't run it as root so simply use the '-u' flag:
./moxi -u nobody ...
