Building membase1.7 is failed at Solaris10
Hi,
I downloaded the membase1.7. When I compile it at Solaris10, there are some compile errors. Could someone help me to check the following error?
run gcc -v output:
Using built-in specs.
Target: i386-pc-solaris2.10
Configured with: ../configure --with-as=/usr/ccs/bin/as --with-ld=/usr/ccs/bin/ld --enable-shared --enable-languages=c,c++ --prefix=/usr/local/gcc4
Thread model: posix
gcc version 4.4.3 (GCC)
The error is:

Hi,
the sqlite source code doesn't build with gcc. I haven't tried to build everyting on Solaris 10 yet, but I've got automatic builds of everything for OpenSolaris/OpenIndiana/Solaris 11.
Ps. The Solaris Studio 12.2 is free, and what I'm using for my nightly builds. I haven't tried gcc lately (since Solaris Studio is free, and that's what I've been using every day for the last 15 years ;-))
I'll be setting up nightly builds on my Solaris 10u9 zone, but I don't know when I'll find time to do so.
Cheers,
Trond
Hi, All
Thanks for your quick response and kindly help. I'll try to use solaris studio to build membase.
I still hope that membase can officially support solaris, -:)
Thanks

Thanks pfu. I've passed this info over to our engineering team, but we are extremely busy with other priorities right now and so I can't guarantee a very quick response.
I'm hoping others from the Community will show their interest in helping to compile from source on these platforms that we don't directly support.
Please let me know how else we can be of help.
Perry
