Hi,

This is becoming a serious problem for us, the ASP.net website - w3wp.exe max at 100% when the Application Pool recycles.  This does not happen every single time, it happens once a day, at random intervals.  We've migrated from Memcached Server 1.0.3 to Membase 1.6.X.

Could someone point us on how to debug this issue?  This is really causing us headaches in production.

We are using Membase 1.6.0.1-win64 on IIS 7, Windows 2008 Datacenter Edition, we created a memcache bucket in membase,  membase is installed on one server + the same server as the web server.

We are using the latest Enyim client, following the code suggestion given in its wiki.

There are no error messages in the event logs.

Could someone please tell me where do I start the debugging from?  How do I see more errors if any?  There are no exceptions generated by us, and when it hits 100% cpu, the log writing stops.

Please help

Hello,

Can you please turn on debug and send to me the enyim logs. We suspect that this may be something related to the classes not being serializable.

Sure, we will do that.

The issue is not 100% reproducible.  On memcache server 1.0.3, we were able to reproduce it 1/6 of the time, but with membase 1.6 it is definitely harder.  We will enable debug logging and let you know.

When W3WP dies, log4net fails...  Nothing gets written...

If you tail your log when you restart your application, watch out for errors and let us know. In the past this has happened and customers found out that some of their objects were not serializable.

Please let us know, and send us the zipped log.

Please send me an email on bhawana -at-membase-com. I would like you to try a patch for memcached to see if you still see this issue.

Thanks

Bhawana
