Trying to change a Port 8080 => 8090
/etc/opt/Membase/1.6.0beta4/config
This is not the file...this is folder...
I was try to make a file "/etc/opt/Membase/1.6.0beta4/config/config"
with: "{rest, [{port,8090}]}." (yes, dot at the end...By the way, is it normal? ...strange)
still dont work...
Just one more question...
For test reason (before full switching) I wanna change port from 11211 to 11220, coz memcached on 11211... how can I do that?
Yes, this is fresh install!
Debian Lenny x64
very strange... but in my system this is folder... ok, I'll re-make this file... but still no effects :(
system dont want to start... and there are no errors in "logs" folder... is it normal?
Is it true place for logs? ...or maybe I need to try find them in other place?
I'd have a hard time believing that different linux systems would behave differently at this level, but we haven't specifically tested Debian so that "might" be the case.
If our installer created a folder where there should be a file, I would suspect that there are other things wrong with the installation as well.
You can view our logs by running: /opt/NorthScale/bin/browse_logs
Can you paste the output of "ls -lR /etc/opt/NorthScale /var/opt/NorthScale"?
I really think there is something going on here outside of our particular software...

Hi there, thanks for your inquiry.
Looks like you got the instructions from our FAQ or this post, but something does not seem right with you system. I just freshly installed the beta 4 release and the path described is correct. /etc/opt/NorthScale/1.6.0beta4/config is the file in which you put the port change. Is this a fresh install?
As far as changing port 11211, that's not currently a supported option. I will check with our engineering team to see if there is some configuration change that could be applied.
Let me know what else I can do for you, thanks.
