Error when accessing memcache bucket on membase server
After running fine for a long while, the server started returning the following error on all the add requests send to the memcache bucket:
Notice: Memcache::add() [memcache.add]: Server localhost (tcp 11211) failed with: SERVER_ERROR a2b not_my_vbucket (0) in ...
The server has two buckets, a default one that's memcache type (port 11211), and another one called that's a membase type, port 11212. Restarting the membase-server didn't resolve the issue, but once I deleted the default bucket and recreated a memcache bucket with the same name, it worked.
The membase server was under very little load and was mainly used for development.
Any idea on why this may be happening, and if there's a cleaner way to resolve this issue (e.g., reboot) rather than deleting and recreating a bucket?
Thanks,
Thanks for the feedback. We've run into a few issues using Memcached buckets within the new Membase Server (hence the beta) and have done quite a bit to fix this and return the behavior to all that you would expect out of memcached.
We'll be releasing the GA next week and it will include all of the fixes.
Thanks so much for your continued testing and feedback.
