Hi, my company just configured 3 Membase servers yesterday. Today, one of the server fail over(memcached process is dead) and we did a restart and used the web interface to rebalance the servers. However, it already took over 2 hours and still waiting for the rebalance process to complete.

May I ask what is the estimated time to finish the rebalance process for 3-4GB data?
Is it norm to use few hours to rebalance between 3 servers?
Will it help if there are more servers in the data bucket?

Thanks in advance!

Hi there, sorry for taking so long to get back to you.

Offhand, it doesn't sound like it should be taking that long to rebalance. We have had a number of bugs where the rebalance ends up hanging, and they have been fixed in the upcoming release of beta 2 so I would encourage you to upgrade to that and retry.

Let me know what else I can help with.

Perry
