License for couchbase-lite for android?

According to the couchbase-lite for android github repo, it's licensed as Apache 2, but I downloaded the precompiled JARs and the LICENSE.txt contains a far more restrictive license, which for example forbids reverse engineering. I'm unsure why there is a difference; is it because of included...

Rebalance repeatedly fails with not_all_nodes_are_ready_yet

Hello, I have a 6-node cluster and one of the nodes is in the "pend" state and the UI says I need to rebalance the cluster. Each time I attempt to rebalance it, however, the rebalance fails. The log shows a not_all_nodes_are_ready_yet error. If I wait awhile and try again, the same error happens...

Whatever happened to GeoCouch?

Sorry if this is the wrong place...we have been using Couchbase for a while now and I was hoping that the spatial support would continue to evolve, but the documentation for the latest versions doesn't contain a lick about spatial views (or at least I can't find it), even with the 'experimental...

set(key, doc, persistTo) sychronous or asychronous?

We are doing some proof of concepts and are testing different parts of couchbase. We have about 2.9 million documents that we are loading. I noticed that when I switched from set(key, value) to set(key, value, PersistTo.ONE) the performance plummetted (normal run time was 5 minutes now its...

Node.js, Sync Gateway, CBL: best way to transfer small files

Hello,

I'm trying to transfer some image files of thumbnails (one per CB document) to the iOS app that I'm writing.

I'm entering documents into my main bucket using the Node.js API, and the data gets synced to the iOS devices using the CB Sync Gateway and CBL.

I've seen that...

How can I find out when is Couchbase reindexing a design document?

Hi all.

We're trying to find out how many times Couchbase indexes a certain design document, when does it exactly index and how many time does the server needs to index.
We have generated logs via cbcollect_info and we have found some information, e.g. ns_server.couchdb.log...

Newly installed CE Couchbase 2.2 crashes on startup (W7 Enterprise x64)

Did a fresh install of Couchbase v2.2 CE on my W7 Enterprise ed. x64 devbox (default path), and no web frontend gets started. Port 8091 not shown using netstat.

Uninstalled and reinstalled into c:/Couchbase/Server, and server popped up.

Is this still an Erlang filename/space bug?...

RAM requirements for small dataset

I'd like to use couchbase for a number of the reasons, but the memory recommendations seem quite high. If I have a 500MB dataset with a fifth of that the working set, is it really necessary to have 16GB nodes? Plus another 2GB for XDCR? Or are those just sort of baseline numbers?
