Why do I recieve alert massages in the couchbase admin console that the root "/" file system nearly full?

I am new to couchbase and have a question.
At least once a day I recieve an alert message within the couchbase admin console warning me my root file system is nearly full. Does couchbase store files in the root file system? When I installed couchbase 2.10 on my redhat 6 system I directed the storage of data and index files to a seperate file system.

As far as I know couchbase also likes to store some good amount of it's data in /opt/couchbase folder even if data and index folders are not set to default. You can try to move that couchbase folder from root to separate partition and make a symlink from /opt/couchbase to /path/to/new/folder.
